Soccer, Revisited

Last year we put Andrew in little league soccer. It didn't go over too well. We lasted four LONG weeks, and decided to try again the next year.

And here's our soccer star today:

He loves practice time when the kids get to run and kick the ball aimlessly:

But when it comes to the actual game-playing time, he pretty much looks like this:

When he's called in to play, he'll go out there, but he's crying the entire time. I think the first game he played scared him when he ran into another player pretty hard.

Watching Pre-K little leaguers is quite entertaining. They've got their hands down their pants half the time and they each have crying bouts at least once during the game. One of his teammates carries her doll while playing. Another teammate forgot her shorts today, she just had her socks and jersey on. Pretty funny.

So far, we're undefeated. That might have something to do with player #8-the kid is amazing!

Go Green!!

Pete actually seems to enjoy going out on the field now, but doesn't get the whole "kick the ball toward the goal" idea yet. It's still fun though!

Hi Nancy! This is Jake's wife Wendy. Jake was so thrilled when he read him your comment. He had such great things to say about you. I emailed Steph (Brian's wife) so hopefully she'll add you to their blog. Your family is adorable! We'll be checking your blog. :)

That is so funny. Maybe next year he will be the star of the team.
