Randy's memories of going to Disneyland as a kid are of rushing, waiting in long lines, and being hot - definitely not his idea of a vacation. So we left him home! I guess I could have coerced him into going (eventually I always get my way), but I knew my mom and I would have a blast together - and we did!

The Happiest Place on Earth
Disneyland really is THE happiest place on Earth! We had an amazing time. Even as an adult, I felt the Disney magic...we got to spend two days there, but I seriously could have stayed five and would have been perfectly happy.

The rides were short - the longest we waited in line was 20 min. We walked right onto "It's a Small World". That was my favorite ride. Andrew's was the "Buzz Lightyear & Dumbo" rides. Josh, hmmm...anything that involved sitting with Grandma was good enough for him. In the above picture, I stole him from Grandma so that we could get a picture together, thus the distressed look on his face.

Wow, you are a trooper. This gives me hope for our trip in November. I was going to leave Ammie home with her daddy, who also is not a fan of Disneyland, but I'm starting to think that she needs to come.
I heart Disneyland, too! And have been known to just pack up the kids and drive south to go (and visit my fam, but also for the D.L.). And I miss having a pass dreadfully, because it is magical no matter how many times you go! And our favorites definately include BuzzLightYear. We go at least once each visit. Sometimes 4 or 5 times. (My brothers and b.i.l.s love it too.)
Way to go, Nancy! I'm totally impressed with you heading off to DL by yourself. Glad to hear you had such a great trip -- 14 hours each way?! With no husband?! Yikes! You are definitely the WOMAN! :)
We miss you guys!
Yay, Disneyland! I still need to post pictures of our last trip, which was in April!
