So when I went to my 20-week ultrasound yesterday and found out that we are having another BOY, I wasn't too surprised and neither was Randy. We got to see him doing somersaults and he didn't like being prodded - he kicked and punched with all his might. The ultrasound tech said I'd have my work cut out for me. We will have many years of farts, belches, dirt and bugs in our home, but having the chance to raise three boys is a sacred blessing and I will do my best to be worthy of it. I am not, however, looking forward to people asking, "Are you going to try for a girl?" I'm not ready to say never, but Randy and I both feel very happy and content with three - we are just so grateful that we've been given the chance to have one more. I'm 32 and I don't know if I can do what we did this past year again - it took real grit to keep trying after two losses. Yes, I do mourn a little over not having a girl - for so many reasons - but I am also looking forward to the many adventures we'll have with three boys!!

How exciting, Nancy! Congrats. I'm so glad he's healthy, strong, and wigggly. :) My admiration for you is growing as I try to raise Alex . . . it's definitely a whole new ballgame having a boy. He's adorable . . . but I'm not sure if our house and belongings will survive his toddlerhood!
Boys are definitely exhausting! Congrats!!! I always thought it would be fun to have a bunch of boys in a row. Someday you will get a little granddaughter and you can spoil her rotten :)
Congratulations Nancy. 3 boys is alot of work but you are so right when you say that Heavenly Father will bless you. He has given me strength and endurence when I knew I had no more. I am so happy for you.
Congrats Nancy and Randy! It is a wild-crazy-lose-your-mind ride (as I'm sure you already know)!
We love you Nancy, and we can't wait to meet your new little man!
Which reminds me, you still need to meet ours! :D We all need to get together soon. <3
What a sweet post! I really wanted you to have a girl, but seeing as I'm not in charge, we'll love this baby boy just as much!!! I can't wait to see you next month. Love and miss you tons!!!
Yea! I love boys! Just the other day Sophia had her first play date with a boy, and for a whole 2 hours, there wasn't any drama. None. Boys bring energy, volume, and balance to the world. You'll get your balance. I'm just sure of it.
Love,
How sweet! I have had dreams like that, only I woke up so scared that I pulled my baby out of bed just to hear them cry, and when they did, I was so relieved!
What fun you will have with 3 boys and future missionaries! Now you can continue to say that you are a "Mother of Boys... Working Son Up 'til Son Down!"
I'm excited for you. I understand, every time I say we are having another girl I get the "are you going to try a third time?" I'm not sure I could handle 3 girls if I didn't get a boy. I am ok with being done with 2, too much estrogen in my house!
Congratulations!
WOW!! I truly believe that it takes an amazingly strong woman to raise a home full of boys. Tyler's mom had 4 boys and she never ceases to amaze me. You will do WONDERFUL will those 3 little angels.
I admire your faith in having more children after your losses last year. If anyone asks if you're going to "try for a girl" please send them my way so I can have a word with them. What kind of a question is that? Really! As always, Heavenly Father knows what is best for your family, and a home full of boys will be nothing but adventures and love. You are awesome, girl!!
xoxo
Well I must say Nancy, you do a fabulous job with boys and have 2 exceptionally cute ones, so bring on another! So excited to meet the new little one. Congratulations.
Boys rock. It will be a wonderful and marvelous experience Im sure! I even read an article where 67% of moms thought boys were easier to raise... maybe? :)
Oh, and I forgot to tell you....I have a friend who has 6 boys and 1 girl and she said "If there is one thing about boys that you dont get with girls its that they sure do love thier momma's!"
Congrats and dito to everyone else's comments but one thought: You'll get daughters-in-law and be able to skip over the teenage emotional stuff!! :) Love you and gald you and the baby are healthy!
Congratulations! We are excited for you.
Congrats Nancy! I can tell you that having three boys is tons of fun! That is all I know, of course. :) How great for your family! We are really excited for you!
